Sri Dalada Maligawa
Sri Dalada Maligawa is called as The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex which houses the Relic of the tooth of Buddha. The TOOTH RELIC was take in procession to Sri Lanka by Princess Hemamala & Prince Dantha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sinhalese kings and is a UNESCO world heritage site partly due to the temple.

Botanical Garden
The Royal Botanical Garden, Peradeniya is situated about 5 km to the west of the city centre at Peradeniya and is visited by 1.2 million people per year. It is the largest botanical garden on the island. 

University of Peradeniya
The University of Peradeniya is a renowned state university in Sri Lanka. It was established as the University of Ceylon in 1942. Located in a site that touches the lower slopes of the lush mountains of Hanthana, University of Peradeniya is famous for its natural beauty.

Udawatte Kale
The Udawatta Kele (Udawatta Forest) is a protected sanctuary situated in the heart of the city, just north of Temple of the Tooth. Known as "Uda Wasala Watta" in Sinhalese meaning, "the garden situated above the royal palace" it was designated as a forest reserve in 1856, and it became a sanctuary in 1938.

Kandy Lake
Kandy Lake is a lake in the heart of the hill city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. Built in 1807 by King Sri Vikrama Rajasinha of Sri Lanka next to the Temple of the Tooth. Over the years it was reduced in size. It’s a protected lake, with fishing banned. There are many legends and folklore regarding the lake. One such is that the small island at its center was used by the Kings helm for bathing and was connected to the palace by secret tunnel.

Victoriya Reservoir
The Victoria reservoir is the largest in Sri Lanka. The Dam length of 520 m (1,706 ft), and a height of 122 m (400 ft), it is also the tallest dam in the country, The dam is located across the Mahaweli River immediately upstream of the Victoria Falls rapids.
This arch dam consists of eight radial gates, each with a width and height of 12.5 m (41 ft), which automatically opens when water levels are high. The dam is located in the deep valley on the Mahaweli River, just above the Victoria Falls rapids.

Wales Park
The Royal Palace Park, known as Walce Park is a small park that overlooks Kandy Lake and most of the city. In the park is a Japanese field gun which was captured by the British 14th Army in Burma during World War II and presented to the city of Kandy by Lord Mountbatten, Supreme Allied Commander South East Asia Theatre.

Dawson Tower
Dawson Tower, is located on Kadugannawa in the Kadugannawa Pass next to the Colombo - Kandy Road first modern highway in the island. Work began on the Colombo - Kandy Road in 1920 under the direction of Captain Dawson who died during the project. The Dawson Tower was erected in memory of Captain Dawson.
